System Requirements for Participants

To ensure the best experience during your WestAccel Cohort, all participants must have access to the following minimum technology before the program begins.

Hardware
• Computer or Laptop (Windows 10+, macOS) — phones and tablets are not sufficient for digital projects or interactive activities.
• Processor: Dual-core 2.0 GHz or higher
• RAM: 8 GB minimum (16 GB recommended)
• Storage: 5 GB free space for downloads and materials
• Monitor/Screen: 13” or larger preferred for visibility
• Webcam and Microphone (required for participation and engagement verification)

Internet Connection
• High-speed broadband connection required:
• Minimum 10 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload
• Wired connection recommended for live participation
• Students are responsible for maintaining a stable connection during scheduled sessions.

Audio & Video
• Headphones or earbuds (to avoid echo and background noise)
• Functioning webcam (required for interactive sessions and attendance check-in)

Software & Accounts
Zoom (free account acceptable)
Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser
Google Drive or OneDrive access for shared resources
PDF Reader (Adobe Acrobat or browser equivalent)
• Cohort Portal Access: Login credentials provided before Week 1

Optional / Recommended
• Second monitor for multitasking (resources on one screen, cohort session on the other)
• USB headset for best audio clarity
• Quiet, distraction-free workspace

Participant Responsibility
• Participants must test their equipment and internet connection prior to the first session.
• WestAccel is not responsible for missed participation or technical issues caused by outdated hardware, poor internet, or user error.
• No refunds or extensions will be granted for issues resulting from failure to meet these requirements.
• Technical support is available for portal access or login issues only.
